COD Warzone Mobile will probably be your most awaited Mobile game too. We thought Activision's famous battle royale would get a Grand Launch, but fans gave it a pretty poor reception & bad reviews. But despite the bad reviews and poor reception, COD Warzone Mobile's launch was Grand. COD Warzone Mobile surpassed 1.5 million downloads and made $216k 💸 in money by the end of its first day.

Players have High Expectations for COD Warzone Mobile from Activision

The game has been launched recently and has a lot of bugs, and glitches that need to be fixed. Players had high expectations for Activision's new battle royale, as Activision has been successful on PC and other consoles.

Players thought that we would get the same experience on Mobile as on PC and console, this is what they expected. However, it is a mobile game that cannot compete with PC and consoles. That's why the players were very disappointed to see this. Data from AppMagic (mobile market intelligence tool) shows that COD Warzone Mobile has crossed 1.5 million downloads in the first day and 💸 earned $216k.

Let's Review & Compare

Well, it cannot be praised enough. Now compare it with what? Because it would be unfair to compare it with its PC version due to the difference in hardware & performance. So we will compare it with Call of Duty Mobile.

Even when comparing it to COD Mobile, COD Warzone Mobile loses on many fronts. First and foremost is graphics and performance. COD Warzone Mobile had enough time for development, but even when comparing it with COD Mobile's Battle Royale mode, COD Warzone Mobile loses. Fans are of the opinion that, in terms of gameplay, COD Mobile has much better Graphics Rendering and performance than COD Warzone Mobile.

As was expected, the game received rave reviews on the Play Store. COD Warzone Mobile received very poor reviews in 150 countries. COD Warzone Mobile received 150000 reviews in these countries, which were quite bad. The results based on major gaming markets are as follows.

  • In the United States, Warzone Mobile is rated 3.1
  • In the United Kindom, Warzone Mobile is rated 2.8
  • In India, Warzone Mobile is rated 2.1
  • In the Philippines, Warzone Mobile is rated 2.3
  • In Japan, Warzone Mobile is rated 2.5
  • In Korea, Warzone Mobile is rated 2.8

The reason why COD Warzone Mobile has such a low rating on Google Play Store is its performance. Players will not be able to play COD Warzone Mobile on low- and mid-tier devices, as Activision has not optimized COD Warzone Mobile for these devices at all. Low-end and mid-range device users may feel that Activision has developed COD Warzone Mobile only for high-end devices. Especially on Snapdragon 8 Gen processor. That's why players have given it such a low rating and bad reviews despite 1.5 million downloads.

Looking at the iOS ratings, they are quite good, with over 2000 reviews ranging between 3.7 to 4.4 across all countries. The game was tested on high-end devices, such as those with Snapdragon 888 & Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors & the iPad Pro M1. This test revealed why players are so frustrated with this game. Tencent's Arena Breakout & NetEase Games' Blood Strike are trolling COD Warzone Mobile over its performance issues.

Will COD Warzone Mobile get Better in the Future

Failure to deliver is nothing new for Activision. Activision also failed to deliver Warzone 2 for PC and consoles, leading to a very poor start for Warzone 2. However, Warzone 2 was later improved, with some improvements to its optimization and graphics rendering in subsequent updates.

So can COD be the same for Warzone Mobile as it was for Warzone 2? Probably yes, as COD Warzone Mobile is still struggling for positive reviews from players. Looks like the game isn't quite ready yet, it still needs some serious development. This should make it more optimized for lower and mid-end devices, especially in the graphics and performance department. Yes, it is going to be very interesting to see how and if Activision will be able to turn the situation around, and whether players will be able to trust Activision back with the expectation of a similar experience to Warzone on PC and consoles. The only issue is performance that needs to be fixed and that is Activision's priority.
