The story of Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley begins in a mysterious valley where only the winter season remains. While hiking, the player gets caught in a snowstorm and helps a Harvest Sprite, who reveals that the other three seasons have vanished from the valley.

The story of Harvest Moon: Skytree Village is set in a world known as the Oasis of the Harvest Goddess. Once, this place was lush and teeming with life, but the entire land became dry and barren after the Harvest Goddess's power waned.
Now, the player's objective is to revive the seven Legendary Sprites so that the Harvest Goddess's powers can be restored and the entire village brought back to life.
In terms of gameplay, players can enjoy features such as farming, fishing, growing flowers, building relationships with villagers, getting married, and starting a family.
This game also features a terrain customization system, but this time, new crops, new flowers, and improved fishing mechanics have been included. Players can also catch rare fish by expanding the waterways. The village is home to several unique NPCs, each with their own personalities and stories.
Along with cosmetic items, two additional characters have also been included in the game.
